Financial and legal papers include Montgomery and Wythe County, Va., land transactions, 1788-1871, and a copy of the will of Sophia Friel, 1836, mentioning slaves. Clippings and other miscellaneous items regarding Wythe County include an historical sketch of Anchor of Hope Presbyterian Church, Max Meadows, Va., by Agnes Crockett Davis, and an article "The Shelby-Campbell King's Mountain Controversy and the Gubernatorial Campaign of 1812" by Agnes Graham Sanders Riley.
